It is important you consider whether by providing this support you are still able to afford your mortgage and household bills and that it doesn’t put you in financial difficulty. Terms & Conditions:
1: The mortgage holder will need to continue to make their monthly mortgage payments.
2: Ukrainian Nationals will be hosted as non-paying guests for the duration of their stay.
3: We are unable to support your application if your account is more than 6 months in arrears, or possession proceedings are underway.
4: If your mortgage with the Society is a Buy to Let or Consent to Let you can still apply for the scheme. Any refugees you host will be regarded as guests so no formal tenancy agreement is required.
5: You may need to notify your home insurance provider so please refer to them.
- If you have a Help to Buy/Shared Ownership Mortgage we recommend that you speak with your registered provider.
- If your property is Leasehold, please check the terms and conditions of your lease. You can obtain free advice from the Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) Home - The Leasehold Advisory Service (lease-advice.org).
