Katrina’s role at MBS is working on talent and mentoring programmes, mentoring, our Community Academy and overall, how we can support colleagues to thrive.
Katrina has been key in developing our Menopause Awareness Programme. This includes Menopause cafes, the introduction of washroom baskets and upskilling all managers in how they can support women who are going through the menopause or perimenopause.
Did you know that 1 in 4 women consider leaving work during their menopause transition and 1 in 10 who have worked during the menopause left a job due to their symptoms?
The Menopause Cafés have created a brilliant opportunity to spark open conversations and break any potential stigma around female health, ensuring every colleague feels confident, supported, and empowered at work.
Katrina has also been working on assembling washroom baskets which are stocked with essential items to support colleagues experiencing menstrual or menopause symptoms. The baskets also include links to resource pages with information for women to useful links to find out more about the symptoms they may be experiencing.
Katrina said, “our menopause cafes allow colleagues to come together and feel supported and helped by one another, which creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.”
