Monmouthshire Building Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Iestyn Evans as their new Chief Finance Officer.

Monmouthshire Building Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Iestyn Evans as their new Chief Finance Officer.

Iestyn has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services, having worked in high profile, senior positions across the sector. For the past six months, Iestyn has been working as Interim Chief Finance Officer at the Society, before moving into the permanent role this month.

Before joining the Society, Iestyn helped to create Monument Bank, a new challenger bank, which has grown from zero to £2 billion of assets within two and a half years. He has held a variety of positions in financial services, having worked for Deloitte, Lloyds Banks, Target, HBOS and Mirror Group newspapers. He has an MBA and holds the position of Non-Executive Director for the Development Bank for Wales.

Monmouthshire Building Society Chief Executive, Will Caroll, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Iestyn into a permanent role in the Society. Iestyn brings valued experience to the role, continuing to strengthen our Executive leadership team.
